READING:
1) The Situation: VI - The Lovers, Reversed
According to this card, there is some sort of disharmony in my life.
On further reading, it seems to indicate I'm not loving and respecting myself. In the realm of employment, I feel that's correct. I've wanted to get back into work for years, and I finally see a way that I can do so.
2) Challenges Inherent in the Situation: V - "Chiron" - The Hierophant, Reversed
Something about the current situation challenges me. I don't want to change it.
This card seems to indicate that I've been challenging myself more than anything external challenging me. I've been introspective and am upsetting "the status quo" as Biddy Tarot calls it. I'm going to be further challenged by my challenges of my current Situation too, and it may not always be pleasant.
3) Foundation of the Situation: Ace of Swords, Reversed
The foundation of this Situation includes some clouded judgement, or wrong belief that led to some inner clarity or the realization that I held a wrong belief that led me to my current Situation.
Ah, this card indicates that the foundation of my Situation was an idea that I'm not ready to share. I feel this has been true—in the past to some extent, not so much now. Since I started sharing it with people who I know will support me, I've been encouraged and pushed to succeed in my endeavors to get a job.
4) Strengths You Bring to the Situation: Nine of Pentacles
Apparently, one of my strengths is my financial ability.
Well, this card seems to indicate that one of my primary strengths is independence. Namely, financial independence. But I'm guessing other kinds of independence too.
5) Past Influences of the Situation: 0 - the Fool
This Situation is born of an innocent—or shall I say un-illuminated?—past wherein I was not aware of what was possible.
According to this, I've already taken a leap into the unknown with my job hunt.
6) What May Help: Three of Swords
This indicates some sort of emotional pain—or perhaps the realization I've misstepped in a bad way recently—may help me; I listen best to the lessons I teach myself, after all.
I think this card is telling me that I need to focus on what's to come—the path ahead, as Biddy Tarot phrases it. That seems to fit, with my job hunt. In the new year, I need to make new efforts to find a job.
7) Self - Internal Influences: XI - Justice
This card seems to indicate I understand the concept of cause and effect.
The deeper definition of this card seems to fit better. I have come to some important decisions about myself and my truth. I've faced myself and found myself wanting and have determined the best way to move forward so that I may grow into a better person.
8) External Influences: Nine of Wands
While, externally, I will be tested somehow; someone or something may provide some resilience for me.
Ah, this card indicates I have some good cheerleaders, as Biddy phrases it, on my side. And I do! It also indicates that I should not let detractors (such as my mother) dictate how I live my life and what goals I pursue.
9) Hopes: Ace of Wands
My hopes are for new opportunities and personal growth.
Enough said.
10) Fears That Must be Overcome: Two of Cups, Reversed
While my fears include disharmony, the breaking of relationships, and failure.
Well, this card's deeper definition certainly addresses one of my fears: That I'll become dependent again. I also don't like being dependent on the government for my sole means of financial support. I'm certain that it won't last my lifetime and don't want to be caught unawares ifwhen it disappears. Also, I sort of see it as my responsibility to add to the financial support of my fiancee, and I'm afraid if I don't get a job, I won't be able to do that.
11) Outcome: XXI - The World
But success will bring me "the world"—fulfillment, a sense of accomplishment, and a better understanding of myself.
Enough said.
