Spiritual Path Reading
In late July, I did a reading on the results of pursuing a spiritual path at this time. The spread is from the book Modern Magick by Donald Michael Kraig, and he advises that the spread be used prior to initiating any major event in one's life; he even suggests the format the question should take. This spread uses only Major Arcana cards. For this post, I'll provide an image of the spread, but I'm going to do something different with the reading itself. Instead of going through each card individually, I'm going to try to make the reading into a story, as I've seen suggested by a number of sources, including Biddy Tarot. So, here goes:
My question: What will be the result if I choose to learn Magick now?
Date: 22 July 2020
Day: Wednesday
Time: ~04:40
Reading:
My first thought was, "Wow, there's a lot of reversed cards here." But I kept an open mind and didn't immediately decide that they were all telling me it was a bad time for this. Using a combination of my own intuition and Biddy Tarot for inspiration, I proceeded with the reading.
Overall, things look good. Despite the spiritual influences that are involved here, including my habitual conceit for faith paths that don't work for me which then induces me to decide I don't need one, it seems to be a good time for me to look into my spirituality. I can't let my fear of falling headlong into things and losing myself, as I did during my first experience with Catholicism, hold me back this time. The time is right for this.
While, inwardly, I do want something good to come of this, it is not the time to seek out a Teacher. I need to focus on learning on my own, then seek a guide. Or, rather, an Advisor. Not someone to hand me lessons to do, but someone to suggest things that may benefit me without being dogmatic or zealotous about it. But right now is not the time for more than that. I need to learn what I can from books and the internet and other researches I do on my own. This is a time for independent study.
XXI - The World in the position of the Final Outcome is quite auspicious here. I think it's a pretty strong indication that this is an excellent time for pursuing these studies.
